About Us
Magis Media is a non-profit multimedia, information and communication technology organisation [with a focus on using] that uses innovation, creative imagination and technology to provide quality multimedia service [in a bid to respond to a lacuna in response to our society. It will serve as a bridge interfacing aspects of human experiences, religion and culture, society and politics, information technology and human existential reality. It will facilitate access to digital data services for schools and organisations in the area of print and electronic media while also offering consultancy services in the area of education, Information technology, finance and media. In addition, it will engage the larger society through content production aimed at promoting integration and the richness of our cultural diversity. It will also create an avenue for the education of the young, mentorship and apprenticeship.
Our Mission
Magis Media is a media ministry of the North West Africa (ANW) Jesuit Province of the Society of Jesus. Our aim is to speak to all people in today’s world, presenting ideas and values grounded in Catholic thinking, and encouraging people to discern where they are, and what other ways of living might be possible.
In what is often a polarized and antagonistic media landscape, our platforms embody an approach to public conversation that is mindful of the dignity of each person in our society. This includes a priority for advocating on behalf of, and standing in solidarity with, the poor.
While our ministry is at the service of the Catholic Church, we seek to bring together all people of conscience. Ignatian Spirituality underpins our work, and we seek to find God in all people, places and things. We believe God is at work in each person, awakening in them the desire for reconciliation — with God, with each other and with creation.
In creating spaces for conversation and discernment, we hope to inspire people to follow where God is calling them so we can act together to build a more just world.
